White printing on black ribbon is one of our specialities. From fine text and detailed logos to large areas of solid white artwork, we can produce strong, opaque print with excellent contrast against black satin.
Black satin creates a striking background for lighter and metallic print colours. White, metallic gold, metallic silver and lighter-coloured prints can all provide excellent contrast against black ribbon.
For something more subtle, we can also print black onto black ribbon. A gloss black print against the satin ribbon creates a sophisticated tonal effect, particularly with a strong logo or heavier typeface.

It works particularly well with bold logos, heavier fonts and uncomplicated artwork. Fine or very delicate designs can be less visible because the effect relies on the difference between the ribbon and print finishes rather than contrasting colours.
