Ordering

Can I add my logo to personalised ribbon?

Yes. Your ribbon can include text, logos, motifs or a combination of all three at no extra charge.

Simply upload your artwork when ordering or email it to us quoting your order number.

For the best results we recommend:

• AI, EPS or PDF vector artwork
• PNG with a transparent background
• High-resolution JPEG

Before production we’ll email you a FREE PDF proof for approval.

Do you charge artwork or setup fees?

No.

We never charge for artwork setup, logos or PDF proofs. Whether your design is simple text or includes a company logo, the price is the same.

Can I use my own font?

Absolutely.

We have access to thousands of fonts, or you can supply your own if you’d like us to match your branding exactly.

Can I reorder a previous design?

Yes.

Simply include your previous order number when placing your new order and we’ll retrieve your original artwork wherever possible.

Printing

What ribbon materials do you print?

We print onto:

• Sustainable recycled ribbon

We also offer specialist printing methods for larger quantities and bespoke projects.

What ribbon widths are available?

Can you print in full colour?

Yes.

Our standard foil printing is a single print colour, but we also offer:

• Full-colour CMYK printing
• Pantone colour matching
• Metallic foil printing
• Bespoke specialist printing techniques

What print colours are available?

We offer more than 20 standard foil print colours including:

• Gold
• Silver
• White
• Black
• Red
• Blue
• Green
• Rose Gold
• Copper

For specialist printing we can also match Pantone and CMYK colours.

For the clearest result we recommend choosing a strong contrast between ribbon and print colour.

Do you print in white?

Yes.

White is one of our most popular print colours.

If your ribbon will be handled frequently, we recommend selecting our more durable Wash Care White option, which offers greater resistance to rubbing and handling.

Can you print onto ribbon I already own?

Sometimes.

We’ll need around 10m of your ribbon to test compatibility with our printers.

Because our own ribbons are selected specifically for print quality, using customer-supplied ribbon may incur an additional charge.

Delivery

How quickly can you print my ribbon?

Many of our personalised ribbons can be produced using our:

• Next Day Service
• Express Service
• Standard Service

More specialist printing methods may take longer, but we’ll always advise lead times before production if required.

Can I collect my order?

Yes.

Click & Collect is available from our workshop near Brentwood, Essex by prior arrangement.

We’ll let you know as soon as your order is ready.

Samples & Proofs

Can I order a ribbon sample?

Yes.

If you’re matching colours or would like to check the ribbon before placing a larger order, we recommend ordering a sample first.

Please note that screen colours vary between devices.

Will I receive a proof before printing?

Yes.

Every personalised ribbon order includes a FREE PDF artwork proof before production begins.

Production only starts once you’ve approved the artwork.

If a proof has already been produced and you later cancel the order, a small administration charge may apply.

Looking After Your Ribbon

Is the print waterproof?

Standard printing is designed for decorative use.

For ribbons likely to be handled frequently or exposed to moisture, we offer more durable waterproof and wash-care print options on selected colours.

Please contact us if you’re unsure which finish is most suitable.

How should I store ribbon?

Store ribbon:

• away from direct sunlight
• below 20°C where possible
• in a dry environment
• away from humidity

Correct storage helps maintain both ribbon colour and print quality.

Returns & Cancellations

Can I return personalised ribbon or bows?

Because each ribbon and bow is made to your own specification, personalised products cannot normally be returned unless faulty.

Please read our Returns Policy for full details before ordering.

Can I cancel my order?

Production often begins shortly after an order is placed.

As every personalised ribbon is made specifically for you, cancellations cannot normally be accepted once production has started.

If you’ve ordered in error, please contact us immediately and we’ll advise what is still possible.

Why do ribbon colours sometimes look different?

Ribbon colours can appear slightly different depending on your monitor or mobile device.

If you require an exact colour match, we always recommend ordering a sample before placing a larger order.

What is the minimum order for personalised ribbon?

Our minimum order is just 5 metres, making it easy to order small quantities for weddings, gifts, product launches, events or small businesses.

Whether you need a single roll or several thousand metres, we’re happy to help.

Can you match my brand colours?

Yes.

For many projects we can closely match your brand colours using Pantone or full-colour printing methods.

If colour accuracy is important, please let us know when ordering and, where possible, provide your Pantone reference.

Is your satin ribbon double-faced?

Yes.

Our personalised satin ribbons are printed onto premium single-faced satin ribbon, giving both sides a beautiful smooth finish with an excellent drape and luxurious appearance.  We do also offer double-faced satin options if preferred.

Can you print photographs onto ribbon?

Yes.

Using our specialist full-colour printing service we can reproduce photographs, gradients and complex artwork on selected white satin ribbons.

If you’re unsure whether your artwork is suitable, simply send it to us and we’ll advise on the best printing method.

Can you print QR codes or barcodes?

Yes.

We can print QR codes, website addresses, social media details and many types of barcode onto ribbon, provided they are large enough to scan reliably.

We’ll always check the artwork during the proof stage.

Which ribbon is best for gift wrapping?

Satin ribbon is our most popular choice for luxury gift wrapping thanks to its smooth finish and elegant sheen.

Grosgrain ribbon is ideal where a textured finish is preferred, while cotton ribbon creates a more natural, rustic appearance.

If you’re unsure which is best for your project, we’d be happy to advise.

Is your ribbon suitable for outdoor use?

Many of our ribbons are used outdoors for grand openings, ceremonies and promotional events.

However, prolonged exposure to sunlight, rain and frequent handling will naturally reduce the life of any decorative ribbon.

If your ribbon is intended for outdoor use, let us know before ordering so we can recommend the most suitable ribbon and print method.

Can I order different ribbon colours with the same design?

Yes.

The same artwork can usually be printed across multiple ribbon colours within the same order, subject to our minimum quantities.

If you’re ordering for different departments, products or events, just let us know what you need.

Can you print both sides of the ribbon?

Most personalised ribbons are printed on one side only.

If you require double-sided printing, please contact us before ordering as we can often arrange this for larger or specialist projects.

Do you offer trade or wholesale pricing?

Yes.

We regularly supply retailers, florists, marketing agencies, manufacturers, schools, charities, estate agents, hotels and large corporate organisations.

If you order regularly or require larger quantities, please get in touch for a quotation.

Do you ship outside the UK?

Yes.

We regularly dispatch personalised ribbons throughout the UK and internationally.

Shipping costs and delivery times vary depending on the destination, so please contact us if you require delivery overseas.

Can you help create my ribbon design?

Of course.

If you’re unsure how your ribbon should look, our experienced design team will create a professional layout for you at no additional charge.

We’ll send a PDF proof for approval before printing begins.

What resolution should my logo be?

For the best print quality we recommend supplying:

• AI or EPS vector artwork
• PDF vector files
• PNG with a transparent background
• High-resolution JPEG (300dpi where possible)

Don’t worry if you don’t have these formats—we’ll happily check your artwork and advise whether it’s suitable.

Will the ribbon fray when cut?

Like most woven ribbons, satin ribbon may fray when cut with scissors.

For the neatest finish we recommend cutting with sharp scissors or using a hot knife or ribbon cutter where appropriate.

Many customers also cut ribbon at an angle or into a V-shape for a decorative finish.

Are your ribbons safe for food packaging?

Many customers use our ribbons around chocolate boxes, hampers, bakery boxes and gift packaging.

The ribbon is intended as decorative packaging and is not designed to come into direct contact with food.

Are your ribbons environmentally friendly?

We offer a range of environmentally conscious ribbon options, including recycled grosgrain ribbon and natural cotton ribbon.

If sustainability is important for your project, we’d be happy to recommend the most suitable product.

Are you based in the UK?

Yes.

We’ve been printing personalised ribbons in Essex since 2007, producing ribbons and bows for businesses, charities, schools, retailers and individuals across the UK.

Our workshop is around 30 minutes from central London.
