Our 96mm biodegradable acetate satin ribbon is an extra-wide ribbon made from cellulose derived from sustainably sourced pine and eucalyptus wood pulp. With a beautiful satin sheen on one side and a matt finish on the reverse, it is ideal for large-scale gift wrapping, hampers, displays and statement bows.
At almost 10cm wide, this ribbon creates real impact. Its slightly firmer acetate structure helps large bows hold their shape particularly well, while the cellulose-based material provides an alternative to conventional polyester satin.

The acetate used to manufacture this ribbon begins with wood pulp sourced from pine and eucalyptus trees. The wood is processed to extract cellulose, which is then reacted with acetic acid to produce acetate material.
This is formed into granules, dissolved in acetone and extruded to create a 59% biobased acetate yarn.
According to the manufacturer, the yarn is produced in the USA using an almost closed-loop production system, where waste generated during production is reused, recycled or made available for other uses. The finished acetate yarn is certified as biodegradable.
At 96mm wide – approximately 9.6cm – this is a statement ribbon designed for applications where the ribbon itself forms an important part of the presentation.
