We’ve been printing personalised ribbon in-house since 2007, from just a few metres for individual celebrations to much larger quantities for weddings, parties and events.

Personalised Ribbon for Gift Wrapping

Printed ribbon is an easy way to personalise a gift without having to create completely bespoke packaging.

Use it around a gift box, bag, hamper or presentation box, tie it into a bow or combine it with plain wrapping paper to make the ribbon itself the feature.

Your Ribbon can include a name, date, short message, initials or other wording, giving you something designed specifically for the person or occasion.

Personalised Ribbon for Wedding Favours

Ribbon is particularly useful for wedding favours because the same design can be used across many different items while helping everything look coordinated.

You might print the couple’s names and wedding date, initials, a short thank-you message or another piece of wording that has meaning to you.

Personalised ribbon can be tied around favour boxes, bags, jars and other small gifts, or used elsewhere in your wedding decorations to carry the same design throughout the day.

Which Ribbon Width Is Best for Favours?

For smaller favours and gifts, narrower ribbon usually works particularly well.

• 7mm ribbon – ideal for delicate favours, small gifts and narrow items.
• 10mm ribbon – another good choice for favours, baubles and smaller packaging.
• 15mm ribbon – gives names, dates and wording a little more space while still looking neat on smaller gifts.
• 25mm ribbon – works well when you want the ribbon and personalisation to become a stronger part of the presentation.

If you’re unsure, think about the size of the item you’re tying the ribbon around as well as the amount of wording you’d like printed.

Birthday, Anniversary and Celebration Ribbon

Personalised ribbon isn’t just for weddings.

It can be printed for birthdays, anniversaries, baby celebrations, christenings, graduations, parties and other occasions where you want to add names, dates or a personal message.

Because our minimum quantities start from just 5 metres on selected personalised ribbon options, you don’t necessarily need a huge event to have ribbon printed especially for you.

Choosing Your Ribbon and Print Colours

Colour can completely change the finished appearance of personalised ribbon.

Our single-colour printed ribbon range includes around 50 stock satin ribbon colours together with a wide choice of standard and metallic print colours.

You could coordinate the ribbon with a wedding colour scheme, favourite colour, party theme or gift packaging.

Contrast is important too. Dark printing normally shows more clearly on lighter ribbon, while white and metallic printing can look particularly effective on darker satin colours.

If we think the ribbon and print colours you’ve selected won’t give your wording or design enough contrast, we’ll advise you before we print.

Can I Add a Logo or Picture to Personalised Ribbon?

Yes. Depending on the design and printing method, Your Ribbon can include much more than wording.

Simple logos and designs can often be reproduced using our single-colour printing, while our full-colour printed ribbon is available for multi-coloured artwork, photographs and more detailed designs.

You don’t have to imagine what your personalised ribbon will look like.

Our artwork team will prepare your design and you’ll receive a free visual proof before printing. You can check the names, dates, spelling and layout before Your Ribbon goes into production.

That’s particularly important for weddings and special occasions — nobody wants to discover a misspelt surname while tying 150 favours the night before the wedding. 😄

How Much Personalised Ribbon Do I Need?

If you’re using ribbon for favours or gifts, make one sample first if possible and measure the amount of ribbon it takes.

Multiply that measurement by the number of items you’re preparing and allow a little extra for trimming and tying.

For larger projects, you can also tell us what you’re making and the approximate dimensions and we’ll help you work out a sensible quantity.
