Ribbon Width FAQs

15mm and 25mm are two of our most popular printed ribbon widths. 15mm works well for general branding, gifts and smaller packaging, while 25mm is particularly popular for gift boxes, corporate packaging and branded presentation boxes.

25mm ribbon is approximately 0.98 inches wide, so it is generally described as 1-inch ribbon.

38mm ribbon is 3.8cm wide, or approximately 1.5 inches. It is a popular choice for hampers, larger gift boxes and packaging where you want the printed design to be more prominent.

For most gift boxes, 15mm or 25mm ribbon works very well. Larger presentation boxes and hampers often suit 38mm or 48/50mm ribbon. The best choice depends on the size of your packaging and how prominent you would like your logo or message to appear.

100mm ribbon is one of the most popular sizes for ribbon cutting ceremonies. For larger corporate events and highly visible branded displays, 200mm or 300mm full-colour printed ribbon can create a much stronger visual impact.

They are very similar in appearance. Our available width depends on the ribbon and printing method selected. Some ranges use 48mm ribbon while others use 50mm ribbon, which is approximately 2 inches wide.
