What are the Christmas ribbon and bow trends for 2025

We love the Christmas season at Personalised Printed Ribbons, the switch from summer to autumn in our cosy workshop always makes us excited for what’s ahead.  Although her Christmas starts pretty much in July here!  We have collated some of the trends that are coming through for 2025 to help inspire you at work & home.

Ribbons & Bows

Just like 2024, the trend to include bows & ribbons in Christmas décor and gift wrapping is developing legs again.  The colour palette is a little more muted it seems, but still reflecting natural & jewels.  The interest in velvets, organza’s and classic satin ribbons is as high as ever, adding the perfect finishing touch to hampers and gifting.  

Ribbons & Bows are such a wonderful way to integrate your branding colours and logos or special messages into your retail or hospitality gifting, and of course we are happy to help.

Bows last year were starting to be attached to Christmas Trees and we saw a lovely trend of businesses adding branded bows to Christmas Trees in the office entrances or to their gift wrapping  – perfect for selfies & social media.  We printed and tied some beautiful bows for many household names – we still get excited after all these years when we walk through a big department store in London with Yellow bags and see the bows we made on display!  We expect this trend to filter into homes in Christmas 2025, adding messages, family names to Christmas Décor.

Bows have also continued to adorn front doors, Wreaths, Homes and Buildings, with our giant plastic bows proving very popular last year – with new colour palettes coming through for 2025 we are now not only offering the festive red but 5 other colours too. These bows are also going to be offered with customisation options this year.

1970s Revival?

Requesting holographic and mirror ball finishes is a 1st this year, and we are wondering if this will also be a trend for 2025.  Our holographic and glitter print, along with glitter bows & customised baubles might be a trend worth watching – and some of our team remember the 1970’s so we can be quite authentic!  Purples, Blues & Silvers all look wonderful with a metallic print.

Snow & Icicles

It’s hard to write this and think about the cold, when here in the UK we have been experiencing temperatures over 30 degrees most weeks, but the season will change and we may see snow on the ground at some point.

We’ve introduced 5 different versions white in our satin ribbons for this trend, from a bright snow white, to soft bridal white, a pearl white, a cream and a stunning ecru.  With a silver print or gold print these ribbons looking so classic and classy we think our customers will be delighted.

Traditional Greens & Golds

Greens & Gold seems to be a dynamic duo for Christmas 2025, bringing the greens of nature into gift wrapping, and also encompassing the beauty of recycled ribbons.  Our recycled ribbons are made of recycled plastic bottles and can be placed into plastic waste after use to begin the process all over again.  We have 8 different green ribbons at the time of writing this article, from vivid Emerald Greens, to darker hunter and bottle greens, plus mints, sage and even neon greens if you want that 70’s vibe!

Lets Go Large!

Giant Sized ribbons and bows are still popular in 2025 so far and we predict this will continue into Christmas 2025.  With ribbons as wide as 30cm, printed and bows as big as 2metres, we’ve got you covered.  We’ve introduced a number of different textures and colours in the giant ribbons and bows – the only limit now is your imagination!

Our huge gift wired bows for shop windows, Instagram Posts and general promotion of a brand,  are proving very popular this year, with many requests as businesses plan for Christmas 2025!  Watch this space.
